About the event
Trancesylvania is a peer-to-peer Hypnosis Kink skill share meeting the Third Thursday of every month. We bring together those interested in hypnosis kink to learn from each other, practice our skills as hypnotists and subjects, and grow together as a community. Each meeting begins with a workshop, demo, or discussion presented by a different member of the community, followed by two hours of open time to practice and play. We believe that, with hypnosis especially, teaching is an invaluable way to learn and build confidence. We encourage everyone to consider volunteering to present a workshop, demo, or round-table discussion at one of our upcoming Trancesylvania skill shares. These skill shares are open to hypnokinksters of all skill levels, but will not be comprehensive 101 classes. We recommend total newbies attend one of SirAerius's regular 101 classes at the Nest if they want the full 101 experience.
- This Month: Jordan_Kai and CasuallySo will present their workshop Phenomenological Blueprinting: Build Better Suggestions Together.
- "In this class we’ll discuss the interstitial communication that comes before, between and after the trance. You’ll learn to supercharge your suggestions through collaborative blueprinting, engaging both the subject and hypnotist in the creative work of perfecting hypnotic effects.
- We’ll touch on techniques for precisely unpacking the subject’s experience, and how to use what you learn to iterate and improve. Learn to predict and preempt mental shortcuts and loopholes, making sure that you and your partner share the same mental model. We’ll show the power of simple visual diagrams, and how striving for the right metaphor can be the key to making suggestions click."
Cost: $15 Date: April 18th, 6:30 PM. Workshop will begin promptly. Door closing time: 7:00 p.m. Photo Policy: No photos allowed
- All ticket sales are in advance and no at-the-door sales are allowed. Registration will close when doors open. Tickets are not refundable or transferable.
- You will be required to sign a liability waiver your first time attending Trancesylvania (even if you have done so previously at another event at the Nest.) At check-in, please show your license so we can validate your legal name and signature against the waiver, and verify that you are over 18.
- Trancesylvania is hosted at the Nest in Fishtown, Philadelphia. Venue address will be provided at registration. Address must not be shared with others. The venue has ample free parking and is easily accessible via public transportation from Center City, Philadelphia. You MUST be dressed vanilla when outside the venue, including the parking lot. No nudity or sexual activity is permitted at this event. The Nest is a smoke-free and vape-free venue.
- COVID-19 Precautions: Masks are recommended but optional. If you feel sick or have recently been exposed to someone who is sick, then please skip this month! We will be happy to see you at the next one, and to stay connected in-between. If you test positive for COVID-19 shortly after attending, please alert an organizer ASAP. Keeping this space accessible to those with high-risk underlying conditions is a high priority for our organizers given the prevalence of neurodivergence and disability in the wider HypnoKink community.
- Accessibility: Our venue is all ground floor with no steps. Doors are not powered. We strive to be accessible to as many bodies and neurotypes as we are able to be as unpaid volunteers. Please feel free to fidget, move around, step out, etc. as you see fit. If you need specific accommodations to enjoy this event with us, please message an event organizer and we will do our very best to accommodate you!
