About the event
Wax play is a great way to start the journey into kink. In our experience, it is one of the most universally liked kinks for those new to the lifestyle. Likewise, it is fun for more experienced kinksters as well. However, we have heard too many horror stories of people getting second and third degree burns because they either used the wrong wax/candle and/or they heated it improperly. This class will discuss the various types of wax available (and the differences between them), various ways to heat the wax and to wax your bottom, safety, wax removal, and cleanup. There will also be a discussion on negotiation and aftercare. This class is for both tops and bottoms as it’s just as important for both to learn safety regarding wax play.
After class we'll have a period where you can practice on your bottom or experience wax play if you've never tried before

- Steve and Michele @Masterandslave99 & @Masters-slaveboo been together as Master/slave for 27 years. We currently focus a lot of our efforts on education with the goal of providing those new to the lifestyle with opportunities to learn, grow, and develop in a safe environment. We started and grew Munch & Learns and Kink Nights for seven years at a local swingers club with a focus on bridging the gap between the Kink and Swinger lifestyles. We also teach wax play and do demos monthly at the Baltimore Playhouse’s Kink - First Contact events. We can’t even begin to remember all the play spaces that we visited that have come and gone over the years.
- Michele: she’s been in the lifestyle for 34 years and while submissive, she tops for and teaches Wax, Fire Cupping, and Violet Wand. Michele is not a masochist - her enjoyment comes from being pleasing to her owner. Likewise, she gets pleasure from teaching others. She loves wax play, but couldn’t find the “perfect” (for her) candles, so, in 2017, she spent six months researching candles, wax, and blends to create that perfect candle. Once she had the blend developed, she started making candles. However, she loves all the colors, so we found ourselves with an inventory of hundreds of candles. In 2018, she opened Too Hot To Handle Candles to vend the excess candles and share her love of producing a safe wax play candle to everyone.
- Steve: he’s a sadistic dominant who is been in the lifestyle for 46 years. Steve loves impact, knives, needles, and rope. Like Michele, he really enjoys providing safe and sane education to those new to the lifestyle or to a particular aspect or activity within the lifestyle. Steve also enjoys teaching about D/s relationships.
